Art begins where programmed perception ends; only those who forget what something looks like and recreate it can create art.

David Tollmann –
an artist and his biography
He presents his complex world of ideas in large-format and very colorful works. The effects of the works are intense and emotionally overwhelming – sometimes full of profound metaphors, far removed from the everyday life of the viewer.
David Tollmann, born in 1988 in the tranquil Lower Saxony town of Sulingen and raised in Nienburg an der Weser, is undoubtedly an extraordinary talent who plays an outstanding role in the art scene. As a descendant of an artistic dynasty steeped in the creative spirit across generations, Tollmann has found his own unique voice as a modern artist, defined by a distinctive fusion of expression, color and emotion. David Tollmann seems to have been born with an artistic soul.
As the son of the renowned artist Markus Tollmann and grandson of the important painter and art professor Günter Tollmann, he was deeply immersed in the art world from his childhood. Through family connections to artists such as Joseph Beuys, Pablo Picasso, Yves Klein, Niki de Saint Phalle and Günther Uecker, he grew up in an atmosphere of creative exchange and inspiring influences. He spent his childhood in the home of his stepfather Joachim Henne, who had become a real father to him. He says he taught David how to live a decent life and raised him as his own son. Here, too, he was always surrounded by culture and art. His artistic journey began in his childhood, but not directly. After years of painting, working in the catering industry and training to be a chef, he dared to change careers and immersed himself completely in the world of art in 2014.
David Tollmann illustrates his complex world of ideas in impressive large-format and high-color works of art. These works are characterized by their intense and emotionally overwhelming impact, often containing profound imagery that takes the viewer far away from their everyday lives.
His artworks by David Tollmann receive international recognition and are presented in renowned galleries in Germany, Spain and Russia. At the same time, he attaches great importance to a concise presence on social media in order to reach a wide audience. He is also passionate about supporting children and young people by introducing them to art through various activities and implementing creative projects together with them.
David Tollmann’s work is exhibited internationally. He is represented by established galleries in Germany, Spain and Russia. A clear presence on social media is important to him. He is committed to children and young people, introducing them to art in a variety of activities and painting together with them.by “Thilo Nass”

The “Colibri Gin” was created in cooperation with the artist David Tollmann. It is made with 28 herbs and refined with our own Riesling vineyard flowers. David Tollmann was inspired by the variety of bouquets and elegant complexity of the gin for the variety of colors and composition of his Colibri motif.
